Profile # 66 Dr. Muhammad Ilyas Bhutto (AP - GBDC Sehwan) ڊاڪٽر محمد الياس ڀٽو


Dr. PROFESSOR MUHAMMAD ILYAS BHUTTO was born on February 22, 1967 in Sehwan Sharif — a town of District Jamshoro, Sindh. He did his Matriculation and Intermediate (Science) from Government Shams-ul-Ulema Dr. Umar bin Muhammad Daudpoto Boys High School, Sehwan (1982) and Government Boys Degree College, Sehwan (1984) respectively. Despite lots of financial constrains, his parents somehow managed to support his studies, so he went to the Ustad Bukhari Government Degree College, Dadu and bagged a science-graduation degree B.Sc. in 1988. He salutes his parents for their sacrifices.

Mr. Bhutto entered the teaching profession as a High School Teacher (HST, Science-Teacher) on November 25, 1990 from Government Boys High School Gul Mando, District Thatta. He also worked in Government Shams-ul-Ulema Dr. Umar bin Muhammad Daudpoto Boys High School, Sehwan and Government Boys High School, Arazi and Government Boys High School, Lakki Shah Saddar, District Jamshoro. He received his professional degrees of BEd (1994) & MEd (2001) from Allama Iqbal Open University & Elsa Kazi Campus (Old Campus) Hyderabad respectively.

On the one hand, being a reader he excelled in his profession and qualified Sindh Public Service Commission Examination for Lecturer in Education (BPS-17) in Second Position throughout Sindh. He was appointed on August 21, 2009 at Jamia Milia Government College of Education, Malir, Karachi. He also worked as Lecturer in Government Boys Degree College, Bhan Syedabad, District Jamshoro. He was promoted to Assistant Professor (BPS-18) on February 20, 2021 and has been serving at Government Boys Degree College Sehwan. On the other hand, he got study scholarship from Bureau of Curriculum and Extension Wing for studying M.Phil (Education) leading to Ph.D. degree at Iqra University, Karachi. He grabbed Gold Medal in M.Phil (Education) for securing the highest CGPA of 3.92/4.00 in 2009 and PhD (Education) from the same university in May 2014 with the highest CGPA of 3.29/4.00.

Dr Bhutto has served as Master Trainer/Resource person in the subjects of English, Education, Social Studies and Chemistry from secondary to university levels. He is author of 10 research articles and 11 books which are published through different journals and publishers. He believes that learning and education are lifelong processes and always need proper attention and effort!

While talking with the team of Sindh Educators, he gave the following message to students:

"There is no end to knowledge and education. The more we dive deeper into the ocean of knowledge and learning, the more we experience new colours, bring precious jewels and come up with new questions; consequently we agree upon world-famous-quote of Albert Einstein which says: "I know one thing that I know nothing!" Therefore, I strongly give this message to the students and learners in all fields:

"علم ته آھي سچ جي واٽ،

واٽ انھيءَ تي ھلندو ھل."

(Knowledge is the righteous path, so keep going on it...)."
